Today I'm flying to St. Louis for Strange Loop to deliver one of the keynote talks.
For my keynote, I've expanded my talk on the intersection of humanities and technology, doubling its length to include more examples. I've also refined my pitch to value the humanity of the people who interact with your products as highly as the product's technical details.
I imagine Strange Loop will be quite a different experience from the iOS/Mac community focused conferences I generally attend. This conference brings together a broad, multi-disciplinary group of tech workers from a variety of specialties. As a result, I only know a couple of people attending ahead of time. I'm cherishing the moment to meet people outside of my own specialty, and looking forward to giving my keynote to a wider audience.
